About Thai Massage - The main benefits you should know
It is an ancient healing practise that uses gentle pressure and stretching techniques to relieve muscle and joint tensions, relax and balance the body and its energy systems. Unlike other forms of massages, such as Swedish massage, there is a lot of interaction in Thai massage between you and your massage therapist. They use their own weight to move you into various positions to achieve passive stretching.
Some of the main benefits:
- Lowers stress levels
- Releases endorphins which act as a natural painkiller in the bloodstream
- Boosts the body with energy
- Calms the mind and body
- Stimulates circulation
- Relieves body aches
- Improves flexibility
- Promotes a more restful sleep
